Hayden Panettiere Recap: HEROES 4.06 “Tabula Rasa”

Hayden Panettiere didn’t have  major role on HEROES tonight, but it was a very interesting scene the writers put her in. Not so much for the story, but because Hayden filmed with Milo Ventimiglia.

In the scene where Hayden appeared, Claire Bennet went to dad Noah’s house for her weekly laundry. She asked Noah for some quarters when all of a sudden, a noise came from the bathroom. Noah took his gun out and who should come out of it – Milo, I mean Peter Petrelli!

Hayden (?) asked what Peter was doing in the bathroom and he replied “it’s been awhile since I did the teleport thing”. I swear I could still see some warmth in Milo’s eyes when he looked Hayden’s way. OK maybe I’m imagining it but hey… you never know.

Anyway, so Peter told Claire and Noah that Hiro is sick and needs their help. Claire offers her blood to heal Hiro (which has been on fans’ mind since we learned of Hiro’s illness!) and Noah replies her blood will make the tumor grow even more. (A collective “oooh” from us). Makes sense. And then Noah remembers a kid who has healing powers and off they go, Peter and Noah – poof – to get the kid to help Hiro.

Hayden may have had a small role in HEROES episode “Tabula Rasa” but it was enough to settle the fans’ questions about her blood being used to cure Hiro. I thought the writers were clever to include her in the scene. And of course, it’s a chance to give Hayden and Milo more screen time together!
