Hayden Panettiere was unhappy; Milo was needy

pacificphotos131390-17444pcn-Hayden-Panettiere-Milo-Ventimiglia-close When news erupted that Hayden Panettiere broke-up with Milo Ventimiglia, the official word was that Hayden and Milo had “lifestyle conflict”, and they were “in different places” but they remain on friendly terms and there are no hard feelings.

The news sounded very official, like a press release, so it probably came from one of the reps. My own thought Milo’s camp released it since his reaction to the split – he’s back to on work – was given prominence.

Now, Star Magazine reports that the break-up between Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia wasn’t that amicable after all.

A source said Hayden had been unhappy with Milo for months, and Milo was too needy and insecure.

Hayden Panettiere wanted to call it quits since Christmas, but Milo would not accept it. He finally got the message when Hayden went out with another guy at a club (someone named Jesse McCartney?). Hayden didn’t call Milo on Valentine’s Day, and that was it.

What is so sad about all this is that Milo is still very much in love with Hayden and it’s hard for him to accept the split. But the source adds that it’s Milo’s fault –

"Milo became too needy and insecure for Hayden. Hayden is really strong and independent and didn’t want to be dragged down by Milo who always wanted to stay home and have her to himself. It’s the age difference. She wants to party and network. She wants a big movie career and thinks Milo would get in the way. Milo is older. He wants to get married and settle down. He shouldn’t have picked such a young girl to be his girlfriend. It’s his own fault."

Ouch. It’s going to be difficult for them in the Heroes set!
