February 9, 2009 by Grace

Hayden Panettiere’s passion for saving animals extends beyond the whale population. Hayden interrupted a “Heroes” filming to save some stranded birds.

PETA files reported that several crew members tried to disperse some birds loitering around the “Heroes” set by blasting them with a leaf blower. Hayden got so upset about how the birds were treated she told the crew to back up.

"What are you doing? How would you like someone to blow that thing inside your house?" [Hayden Panettiere] made such a ruckus that the crew had no choice but to move the scene to a different location.

Good for you, Hayden, for defending the helpless creatures.
