Hayden Panettiere’s life has been far from easy this past year.

Hayden’s father Allan Panettiere pled guilty to misdemeanor battery for hitting mom Leslie after an argument last August. I’m not downplaying what he did, because he admitted guilt, but the paps hounded the couple, Hayden and Jansen about it, so what might have been a painful but private incident turned into a media scandal.

And as much as Hayden and boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia really looked good and happy together, their age difference made headlines all the time, like it was the first time ever that such a thing has happened to anyone. Numerous reports rumors about a break-up (or not) also followed the couple this February. We don’t know if there is truth to any of the rumors, because Hayden and Milo are such private people they won’t bother to explain just for our sake.

But despite all the nasty things said about her and her private affairs, Hayden Panettiere has the formula to succeed in Hollywood.

Three Things That Make Hayden Panettiere a Success in Hollywood?

1. Hayden is more than just talents. Hayden Panettiere has been seriously acting since she was 9 years old! And she stole every scene  in “If You Believe” and “Remember the Titans”. Without a doubt, the girl can act so I don’t understand why people think she can’t.  Although she launched her solo album only last year, Hayden has been singing since her voice was discovered in “Tiger Cruise”. 

But she is also more than just an actress-singer. She is driven by a cause that’s bigger than herself. Her passion for saving the whales is known beyond Hollywood, and applauded by Congress. She is not just a face of some organization, she actually gets deeply involved, and affected, by what she believes in. Hayden herself admitted that being recognized as a humanitarian was more touching than having any acting accolade.

Hayden Panettiere was out and about last night at the Club Guys in West Hollywood, in a sexy and short white wrap.

Hayden attended the birthday party of Teen Vogue editor Carlos Lopez’ masquerade party, not with boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia but an unknown guy, possibly her bodyguard.

It would be nice to see Hayden and Milo together somewhere, to put an end to the rumors, but we probably won’t see them anytime soon, guessing how private Milo is.

Also at the party were Paris Hilton, Mischa Barton, Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson, the Kardashians.

Hayden Panetttiere went into the Andy Lecompte salon in West Hollywood on Wednesday to get her hair done.

I always thought Hayden would have someone do her hair at home, like her make-up artist (if she ever does have one on permanent call). I didn’t expect her to have her hair done at a salon and then go to a party … or maybe she’s not going anywhere in particular, and she just wants glamour to go with her skinny jeans and riding boots.

Hayden Panettiere went to lunch at Jerry’s Famous Deli on Beverly Blvd on Wednesday, wearing a very comfortable gray maxi strapless dress and a plait in her hair.

The valet helped her get down from her SUV and there was a moment there, a little love, if you will. That’s just so Hayden, being really nice to people like that.

Hayden Panettiere bought a $4 million house in the Hollywood hills early this year, which she decorated herself, including a 14ft x 14ft couch in the great room.

A celebrity address aerial database placed Hayden’s home in this address:

Hayden Panettiere and the cast of "Heroes" was at the Esquire this weekend and honored for their humanitarian involvement.

MaximoTV took videos of Hayden as she posed for photographers with her co-stars Jack Coleman and Greg Grunberg. Hayden briefly talked to the press, signed some autographs and then went into the Esquire House.

Meantime, co-star Jack Coleman answered some questions about his TV daughter.

Who knew that smartphones can get all the celebs to party!

Somewhat of a surprise was Hayden posing with ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti, who was also at the Launch.

We all know that Hayden Panettiere and her boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia are probably the cutest and most secretive couple in Hollywood at the moment.  At least that’s what I choose to believe.  And the two got even cuter and more secretive at this year’s Comic Con convention in San Diego, as they were spotted cracking one another up, even though they were seated nowhere near one another.

Apparently, they want to do all they can to avoid media speculation on their relationship, so they keep it completely private in the eye of the public.  I guess that means we’ll never know if and when they break up.  Meh, oh well.

Hayden Panettiere recently told press that she’s no longer going to pursue a college degree, even though it’s something she’s always wanted to do. Hayden says her Heroes-based fame “scuppered” her plans to attend college, as she now feels she wouldn’t be able to just go there and learn, and instead, would be the center of attention, which would in turn, lead to academic distraction.

Hayden says, “College is something that I was really passionate about for a long time and I always wanted to go but everything has changed so much. I have to be so careful when I go out now.”

She continues, “Look what happened to Miley Cyrus. Personal pictures of her came out and caused so much trouble for her - but they were personal pictures of her that were either from a really long time ago or just from goofing around. You keep them really private but they end up being all over the place.”

Hayden then goes on to say, “I would want to be a normal person if I went to college because I would want to fit in and go to parties but I can’t all the time I’m in the public eye. I just have to sacrifice my dream of going to college for now.”

Now, I think that’s totally ridiculous. Tons of famous people go to college, and just because you’ve become a celebrity over time, doesn’t mean you have to quash your dreams due to your newfound popularity…and then blame it on us for liking you! As if that’s not what your ultimate goal was in Hollywood in the first place, to be famous. Come on, now, Hayden.
