Hayden Panettiere put her life on the line to help save some dolphins (that are part of the whale family) when she was in Japan recently. She and all the people she was protesting with actually went and got in the middle of the fishermen who were trying to kill the dolphins, and did everything she could to save them…so much that she actually broke down sobbing because of the pain from what she saw.

Hayden quotes, “I think a lot of us went out there with the thought that we were going to be very scared. And we knew that it was very possible to get hurt and it was very possible for us to get detained by police,” Panettiere revealed. “But we paddled out there and the fear just completely went away.”

Hayden and her group of ocean-life-savers actually floated out on surfboards, right in the middle of all the blood that was left behind from the animals that had already been slaughtered. Hayden goes on to say, “They were so pretty. They were teddy bears in the water,” an emotional Panettiere explained. “They slowed down and started gathering in the net towards us. This little baby popped its head out and looked at us, and all of us just wanted to cut them out of the nets and set them free.”

The fishermen JERKS tried to get the Greenpeace group to go away by turning on their boat propeller, just inches from Hayden’s limbs. Hayden claims, “They were using the propeller to push us away,” Panettiere explained. “And at one point I had to take my foot out of the water because they got the propeller within inches.” She even said she wanted to hit the men in their faces, and you know what? She should have. Screw those whale-killing bastards!
